Complaint Description :  

From last 1 year the beautiful city of Visakhapatnam under dust pollution due to Port Trust,  Normally there is no unloading point of coal, iron, urea, & non-agriproducts in East side berth located in visakhapatnam Port Trust, but now days their performance point of view they are accepting to unload the cargos in east side to that effect normal populates surrounded to Port Trust area were got dust pollution.

This issue were several times in media, newspapers and many rallies held but there is no use.

Kindly take proper action & avoid the city with pollution.

Your complaint has been forwarded to The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board , Hyderabad - A.P. vide Courier Dispatch No. 199773965 Dated – 08.04.2010. We expect that concerned officers will take strict action promptly. Otherwise, Jago Party shall take suitable action under RTI Act, anti-corruption acts etc to get this problem resolved.

After complain send to the concern department, within 30 days if no action taken. Please let us know the status of your complain, whether the issue is resolved or not, So that the jago party will go for further action under RTI. Even after 30 days no action was taken. So we forwarded the complaint under RTI act to The Public Information Officer, The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board Payavaran Bhawan, A-III, Industrial Estate, Sanath Nagar, Hyderabad - A.P. Jago party received a letter no:341/PCB/ROV/TECH/2009 from PIO,A.P Control Board on 16-09-2010.Dust pollution caused by M/s Vishakapatnam Port Trust was under Examination of A.P Control Board and District Administration, Vishakapatnam.and PIO,A.P Control Board ,Regional office,Vishakapatnam addressed Sri J.Y. Jaganadha Rao on 01/07/2010.In continuation to this they have issued Directives to M/s Vishakapatnam Port Trust under sec.31(A) of Air(Prevention & control of polluton)Amendment act,1987 and under section 33(A) of Water(Prevention & Control of pollution) amendment act,1988.VPT has been ordered to implement the directives immediately.(S.T)

Even after 45 days no action was taken. So we forwarded the complaint to the Appeal under RTI act to The Public Information Officer, The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board Payavaran Bhawan, A-III, Industrial Estate, Sanath Nagar, Hyderabad - A.Punder RTI Act. Vide Courier Dispatch No 580493192 Dated – 09/11/2010
