Rs. 600 per voter is not a correct strategy or policy. Just to give an extreme example: if a single woman is running an orphanage with 4 kids, compared to a married couple with four kids. What you are saying is the orphanage will get Rs. 600 only if the brave lady is able to take all chidren to the voting booth. For the married couple, they go one at a time with no worry who will care for the kids. And they get total Rs. 1200!
MERIT means that those who work hard get paid. Otherwise this is like bribing the public, or let us say euphemistically "POPULIST" |
